Partnering with WearSPF for Executive Members:
We recently had the opportunity to partner with WearSPF, a sun protection brand that was created in collaboration with Justin Thomas after his personal melanoma scare in 2019. As a Florida-based company, we have a lot of experience with hot sunny days out on the course and now more than ever, we understand the impact that over-exposure to the sun can have on your skin.
We never head to the course without our WearSPF and we believe that you shouldn’t either. At Short Par 4, we believe that skin health is extremely important and we are more than thankful to be able to provide our members with the top-quality protection that WearSPF offers.

Skin cancers are by far the most common form of cancer with more than 3.3 million people in the United States who are currently diagnosed, which means, more than likely, you know someone who has been affected.

WearSPF Sunscreen and Their Impact:

In 2019, Justin Thomas’ doctor found a small mole on his leg which was in the beginning stages of melanoma. The lip balm features UVA/UVB SPF 30 which will lock the moisture in while blocking out the sun's rays. The original mint is also a nice touch that you wouldn’t typically have the pleasure of when accidentally getting other sunscreens on your lips.

The WearSPF 50 Sunscreen Spray is a broad spectrum SPF 50 sports spray for your face and body. The spray blend is infused with super-nourishing antioxidant ingredients and offers effortless protection from UVA/UVB rays. Once applied, the spray is water resistant for up to 80 minutes.

How to Apply:
WearSPF suggests that you apply their products fifteen minutes before sun exposure and reapply after 80 minutes, or after swimming, sweating, and towel drying. WearSPF products guarantee to help prevent sunburn and decrease the risk of skin cancer which is important for every golfer.

Unfortunately, 1-5 people will be diagnosed with skin cancer in their lifetime but we can lower this statistic by having frequent checkups with a dermatologist who will be able to find these areas and prevent spreading. It’s up to all of us to stay safe and healthy so we can enjoy our time out on the course!
